How to Reverse Clogged Arteries

According to the latest statistics, 48 percent of all US adults have some form of cardiovascular disease. These diseases not only affect the heart but also the blood vessels throughout the body. A high level of bad cholesterol in the blood is the leading cause of these diseases. In this article, you will learn how to prevent plaque build up in arteries and how to reverse clogged arteries.

Understanding Cholesterol

There are two main types of blood cholesterol: low-density lipoprotein (bad cholesterol) and high-density lipoprotein (good cholesterol). The low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is the one responsible for plaque buildup in blood vessels. High-density lipoprotein (HDL) is the one that your body needs to produce sex hormones, bile juice, and vitamin D. HDL also helps remove LDL from arteries and prevent the build-up of plaques that clog arteries.

Risk Factors for Clogged Arteries

Clogged arteries carry risk factors that you can change. Some of these risk factors are unhealthy cholesterol levels, unhealthy diet, stress, high blood pressure, smoking, insulin resistance, obesity, and lack of physical activity.

Complications

Plaque buildup in arteries thickens the walls and narrows the passage. The plaques can partially or fully block the affected blood vessels and end up causing complications such as:

These plaques can break off and get into the bloodstream. A plaque from a large artery can get into the bloodstream and end up stuck in a smaller vessel. When this happens, it can cause a partial or total blockage. If the blockage is in the vertebral arteries and internal carotid arteries, it can end up causing a stroke. If the plaque blocks one of the coronary arteries, it can end up causing a heart attack.

Symptoms of Clogged Arteries

Clogged arteries do not exhibit symptoms until it is too late. Many people get to know that their arteries are clogged when blood clots and heart attacks present themselves. In the case where more than 70 percent of your arteries are clogged, you may notice the following symptoms:

  • Nausea
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest pain or Angina
  • Dizziness
  • Palpitations
  • Intense headaches
  • Weakness
  • Chilly feet
  • Tightness in the jaws
  • Pain in the lower back
  • Pain in the legs
  • Trouble balancing
  • Erectile dysfunction

If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, you should follow up with your doctor as soon as possible.

How to Reverse Clogged Arteries

There are things that you can do to prevent some of the risk factors for clogged arteries. Here are some of the things that you can do to prevent and reverse clogged arteries naturally:

1. Get active

Simple cardiovascular activities are a must. Activities like cycling, jogging, running, swimming, brisk walking, playing tennis, and doing aerobics can do a miracle for this condition.

2. Limit fried and highly processed foods

Foods high in transfats elevate the level of your LDL cholesterol. That is the bad cholesterol that is laying the plaque in your blood vessels. You need to limit or cut out fried foods and highly processed foods. Some of the foods that you should stay away from to lower your LDL cholesterol are cakes, pies, pastries, cookies, biscuits, margarine, vegetable shortenings, and products with transfats (partially hydrogenated oils).

3. Drink this juice

Ingredients

1. Lemon

There is no doubt that lemon carries the highest health benefits among all fruits on the planet when it comes to helping clogged arteries. It aids in digestion, skin health, and liver health.

Lemon juice also has a positive effect on blood cholesterol. It is rich in vitamin C that decreases the level of LDL cholesterol. Lemons also contain citric acid that can help lower plaque deposits in clogged arteries.

2. Garlic

Garlic is the king of healing herbs. It contains antioxidants that can protect your body against cell damage from free radicals. It has anti-inflammatory properties and can help lower blood pressure. Garlic can also lower your LDL cholesterol levels. Recent studies are showing that garlic dilates blood vessels to allow more blood to get to the cells. Garlic is also the best healing medicinal food that can help clean out clogged arteries.

Preparation

You will need six lemons and three bulbs of garlic. Peel the skin off each lemon and then separate the garlic cloves. Now chop them up into little bits and then place them into a food processor or blender. Top it up with a little bit of water and sweetener for taste. Make sure to use natural sweeteners like honey and stevia.

Blend the mixture and then put it into a pot. Add one gallon of water to the pot and then simmer the mixture for about seven minutes. Simmering is not boiling. It is just under that boiling point.

Strain the ingredients into another pot and let the juice cool for about an hour. Now that you have the final product, you can either store the whole port in a refrigerator or pour the juice into several glasses and store it that way.

Drink between eight to twelve ounces of the mixture every morning on an empty stomach for three weeks. You can have it cold or warm depending on what you like. Too much of this juice (more than 15 ounces per day) can cause heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. After drinking the juice every morning for three weeks, give your body a one-week break and then repeat it all over again for the next three weeks.

Do not replace your doctor’s recommendation with this juice. The juice is healthy, safe, and very effective in reversing clogged arteries. It also doesn’t interfere with any medication. It has helped many people, and you can use it as often as necessary.

If you are experiencing dizziness, chest pain, or any other symptom of heart problems, you should follow up with your physician.
